The 2016 Red Meat Updates virtual farm tour is now available to view online.
The objective of this year’s virtual farm tour was to look at how three Tasmanian red meat producers had prepared for and managed through what can only be described as a very challenging season (note: this was filmed in May 2016). We also asked them what they had learnt this year and if there were any tools or information they used to help make the hard decisions around feeding and stocking rates.
The farm tour featured producers from across Tasmania:
- Chris Headlam, Lowes Park – Woodbury
- Matthew Lester, Beattie Lester Beef – Lileah
- James Walch, Stewarton Pastoral – Epping Forest
For more information about the producers, you can read about them in the 2016 RMU proceedings.
The 2016 virtual farm tour was supported by TP Jones.
